How is it going at Privatair?
Will they have any F/O slot (BBJ) in the near future?
Thanks.

I know a bit about Privatair and one thing is for sure. They dont come here to look for their pilots!! I suggest you direct your question in the direction of Geneva!!!
Have you applied to them?

I thought Privatair were getting out of BBJ's pretty sharpish.
Isn't the A319CJ flavour of the month these days?

How has Privatair's BBJ charter operation been doing?
I know it uses one for Trans Atlantic service to EWR, but I noticed that one of its BBJs is for sale. Do you boys at Luton or Farnborough ever see Privatair BBJs flying in and out?
Anyone know if Privatair is hiring - does it prefer Airbus or Boeing 737 rated pilots?

Has Privatair been picking up Swiss, former Sabena and VG pilots? Where do most of their pilots come from?
Also, is the BBJ still doing a lot of charter or non-scheduled work worldwide? Are they hiring 737NG rated pilots for the BBJ?

The BBJ charter operation run's very successful but mostly executive. As far as i know, there is no upcoming hiring on the BBJ and 757 for Geneva.
At the moment, Airbus pilots have a definitive plus ! Pilots are hired from all over Europe. You will find people from England, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany. It's a nice mixture and a very enjoyable environment !
Also, they will keep their BBJ's since they are very satisified with the aircraft but one can expect that they return to executive services only.
It's not simple to describe on what they look for during the assessment but your personality, character and attitude counts as much as your flight experience. Its the big picture of yourself and does it fit with the company culture.
Don't be afraid to send them your resume. They are a group of very nice and understanding people. I am sure you will get a response within short time.

PrivatAir is a great company. They are expanding on the west coast of the U.S. and were at one time interested in Jet Aviation, who looks like they are considering going public:

As mentioned within another thread, the Swiss had to shake up the U.S. operations of Jet Aviation which was perceived as being too pricey, so they booted Terrance Kelley and appointed Theo Staub in his place. Supposedly, Jet Aviation is either going to go public or look for a suitor once again. PrivatAir and Jet Aviation may be one of the better partnerships with Jet's influence around the world being a strong appeal to PrivatAir.

Personally, I would rather fly the executive service - worldwide charter. Flying the scheduled runs would likely get a bit boring over time... Glad to hear they will keep their BBJs. Where are the BBJ pilots based?

BBJ executive operation run's from Geneva. Don't know if Privatair is so interested in Jet Aviation. They have their own plans in Geneva and are moving quite rapidly. But someone never know's.

Are there any Airbusses based in GVA?
Any recruitment there?

The VIP BBJs are in GVA, the 48-seaters that do the LH transatlantic flights are based in MUC. They have just hired 4 pilots, 2 full-time and 2 on a six-month contract... I know they are short of Airbus pilots.
