Moving from the mega tech world that many of the amazingly useful inputs on the forum address, my comment on this operator level issue

1) without doubt - multiple (2) monitors if you do any multi-tasking .. saw someone using this at my brothers workplace and converted instantly .. installed on new desk top and simply another universe

2) a shed load of RAM - sorts 99% of all known problems

Above assumes you did the proper Virus Protection bit years ago

Gotta agree with you - used the Matrox G450 for the last couple of years and moved up to the P650 for the new box. I could never imagine going back to a single monitor setup now. Many of the so-called Dual enabled cards have quite a poor secondary display, but the Matrox Dual cards are designed from the ground up for it and do it very well.

Although they are supposedly identical LG Studioworks 700S-es I found it quite a fiddle getting the colours to match precisely - tried various utilities that are supposed to do it or help you do it and eventually got it more or less by trial and error by tweaking the RGB controls on the monitor's OSD's. ColoReal helps a bit. Flesh tones are a good calibration.

'Course the pro's have special gear and all...

Seconded.

I got my kit second hand from a dealing room when it closed down. Currently sitting in front of 3 flat panels. It's just not the same to go back to 1.
