Hello Chaps and Chapettes,

Does anyone out there know of a TRTO for the 800 either within the UK or Europe?

Cheers,

Chips

Try Jet Aviation Zurich, or SUN-AIR in Billund, Denmark.

Maybe you will find something!

GECAT offers the -700.

Hope it will help you...

Thankyou kindly Flexjet, I'll persue your leads. Unfortunately, the GECAT sim isn't approved by the UK CAA so hopefully the continent will provide something more fruitful.

Cheers,

Chips

I've been flying Hawkers since March of 2000 and the best training was at Flight Safety Wilmington, Delaware.

The ground school, use of excellent in-house texts and highly experienced jet crew as instructors was the best I've seen in 20 years. They have full JAA certification...

Chris,
We are all aware that Flight Safety is second to none.......problem is, some of our European brethren have a deal of difficulty getting US study visas etc.
It would be nice to have a few viable options.

Well Chaps,

It seems that the only TRTO for the Hawker in Europe is Interflight based at Biggin Hill. HOWEVER, they aren't doing any type ratings for the next 3-4 months (too busy).

Jet Aviation only do them in Zurich, but only in-house and the only Sun-Air that I could find in Denmark is the subsidiary airline of BA (they fly Jetstreams and ATPs) and seem to know nothing about the Hawker.

So it looks like the States. Flight Safety are certainly a lot cheaper than Simuflite (by about $7k although this extra includes accommodation).

Thanks for the recommendation Chris. As V1 says, a few viable options would be great. Shame as it's the Brits who build the thing in the first place.

Cheers all,

Chips

Yeah, it's a shame that the UK export all of the good stuff. When I went through 800 initial , the Queen's Hawker pilots actually came over to do 700 recurrent, for what was then the first time....

The only TRTOs for BAe/HS/Raytheon 125 listed as being approved by the UK CAA seem to be Simuflite and Flight Safety. Both are stateside.

I have a CPL/IR + frozen ATPL. Last time I checked, the US was not issuing visa's for anyone training for their first multi-pilot type. Does anyone know if the rules have been relaxed?
