An interesting question, after looking I could not find the asswer however; you should hold a ME/IR and as the qualification leads to a MP type qualification you willl need ATPL level theory.

There are no pre-requisites for the MCC course in the Regulation. However, each training provider will have an approved Training Manual that will include the pre-entry requirements for their course. The requirements may vary between training providers according to what the relevant competent authority has approved.
