Dispatch Crew CAP 371

Has anyone ever heard of the term "dispatch crew" in reference to flight crew and under CAP 371? It is my understanding that this term is used to describe a qualified crew who is used to preflight an aircraft for another crew who might have limited duty time under FTL. Can someone advise if this is still in use by any airline in the UK or Europe? Based on my research, the term isn't even used by the UKCAA anymore.
