Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

PPL (SLMG) to convert to EASA PPL (A)

Can anyone please help with this one.

UK PPL (not NPPL) with SLMG rating wishes to convert/upgrade to EASA PPL (A).

Had a good look at CAP 804 but cannot see anything along these lines.

Thanks for any help.

If an NPPL SLMG can convert directly to an EASA PPL restricted to TMG, then there is no reason why a PPL(SLMG), which is an ICAO licence, should not do so either. Then add SEP if required. CAP804 Section 4 Part P Page 21
