Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Licence renewal payment

Wondering which schools, if any, pay for FI's 5 yearly CPL renewal? I got a shock today when I was told I had to fork out for it myself since all rating and authorisation renewals are paid for by the company.

Would this be the case in an airline?

Any thoughts and comments welcome.
