Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Flight Instructor Rating Australia

Hi,

Just wondering if someone could tell me a ballpark $amount for completing a flight instructor rating in Australia.

Many thanks.

Can't honestly remember the price, but here are the two places that do aeroplane instructor ratings in my part of Oz.

http://www.bhflyschool.com.au
http://www.nqaeroclub.com.au

If it's a helicopter instructor rating you need, I don't know anyone who does them in this area, but here are two schools in Sydney that I've also flown with:

http://www.bankstownhelicopters.com.au
http://www.helipad.com.au

Send any/all of them an email, I'm sure they'd be happy to give you details and prices. Caveat: There are plenty of other places, these are just off the top of my head ...

Depends on the training organisation and how many people on the course but you're looking at between about $11000 -13000 Australian which equates to roughly 5200 -6200 pounds.
