Kneeboard with rolling paper.
I am rather keen to find a kneeboard with rolling paper.
I find myself testing aircraft in some rather cramped cockpits, and changing over pages of the test cards is sometimes quite tricky whilst maintaining control and a good lookout.
I remember seeing someone with an "issue" kneeboard from (I think) ETPS with a device to roll the paper (rather like a strip map) to reveal the next items.
Anyone have any idea where I may purchase one?
Many thanks,
Jez

*I had a colleague who had one and it was excellent. But, he'd been issued with it and as I think he graduated from ETPS in 1978, probably not recently.*
I'd suggest looking around antique dealers and aerojumbles.
Or an ipad with kneeboard mount?

We had these in the late 60's when doing maintenance flight tests on the Lightning. The test schedule came as a long paper sheet which we wound onto a knee pad. I am not sure if these knee pads were RAF issue or whether they were made in the workshops. Perhaps you should also try on the Military thread as someone may have one stashed away. Otherwise I don't think it would be too hard to make one - 2 rollers on a metal sheet with a strap to attach it to your knee.
