Servisair at LGW has just made a further 8 despatchers redundant last month. I was made redundant last year. Be aware that all the despatchers at LGW that I am aware of (Servisair / Swissport / Menzies) are Non FAA despatchers. WHich basically means all we were entrusted to do was produce a loadsheet, then attempt to "drive" the turnaround. Low wages, worsening T and Cs, and total dumbing down of the job. I would strongly suggest LHR for one of the big boys, but I'm under the impression that virtually none of them rely on LHR based despatchers. Everything is "Centralized" at home base. It has become a sh**e job I'm afraid......
