It won't happen at other stations as CVT has been right royally screwed over by senior management, we all know who they are.

CVT would have been ok had someone chased the people that owe them money, but hey seems their plan all along was to make 45 people go through the ordeal of being made redundant then not pay them for Nov and then go into liquidation....

CVT guys will have the last laugh. Plus at least we don't have to work under the FS umberala... we were never really part of it anyway.

Think that the opening hours of the airport haven't helped either, closed during the peak hours of ad-hoc freight and business traffic. Strangely enough it looks like the airport themselves will take over the handling there, co-incidental that the Business Development Manager appointed a few months ago, ex CAH station manager?

To be fair it probably is, don't think the management have the brains to deliberately undermine other operations at CVT, and such Machievelian tactics would seem to be beyond them.

NO... We have all got to apply to the government for the wages owed, notice period, outstanding holiday and redundacy due to the Coventry Airport Handling going into adminstration...

The receivers were in today totting up all the equipment etc owed... funny all the equipment sent to help out other stations recently will have to be returned to CVT due to the equipment being leased!! Funny FS don't get the last laugh....

Hello folks,

I urge anyone who works (or thinks they work!) for Airbase/Flight Support, to ascertain exactly who their employer is.
We all thought that FS were running things at CVT and that we worked for them and were paid by them....but apparently that wasn't so!

What they've done may very well be perfectly legal and above board but from our perspective, it seems as though they stripped CVT of many of our assets/finances, and then just walked out and abandoned us.

FS haven't yet updated their own web-site and still state that they provide ground services at CVT.......but they don't - and perhaps never did!

These are hard times for everyone and our industry is one of the hardest hit but I hope and pray that FS don't pull out of other sites, without notice, leaving bewildered staff out of work and without pay.....again!

Bob.

Good news...for some!

Well, those of us still working on the freight side of things, have been taken on by the airport themselves.
We've been paid for the past two week's work and new contracts have been issued (probationary for six months).
At least our positions are secure for the time-being, and we've got a bit of cash for Christmas!

Who knows what the future may hold?, but the new management seem keen to do whatever they can to build things back up, and have kept true to their word by keeping us on
