Overflying Africa Continent
Hello
Most of us maybe are long-haul pilots that frequently overfly Africa. Most of traficc are from noth to south and vice-versa.
Anyway what most concerns me is, if you have a medical emergency, as pilot in comand you feel unconfourtable to choose a safe country there, due to complicated political situation, on greatest number of the countries.
In your opinion which one of the african's countries that you can consider safe, in therms of medical assitence? Maybe has more credibility from United Nations? Or UNO?
Give your opinion , can send me private message.
Thanks

Once you leave the Canaries southbound, hang on until Jo'burg! I've been to 10 West African countries and none of them had medical facilities recommended by Med-Aire for serious emergencies. Dakar might be OKish.
