ACN-PCN Software
Hi all,
Wondering if there is any ACN-PCN software available on the market? We are mainly operating business jets ranging from Learjet to GLEX, but also some 'heavy' jets like 737, A319, 767, etc. Not that it's too complicated to calculate it manually, but we prefer it the easy way

I hope I haven't misread the question but I suspect there is no software available for this as it's pretty easy to get the answer from your Jepps manual, regardless of geo-location your 'book 1' will have it.
It's got a list of aircraft, even the weird Russian ones, and you read off the ACN for your aircraft type. Then go to the airports section, again 'book 1' and read off the PCN and compare.
It really is simple, which is why I doubt there is software for this.
I'm assuming you have Jepps??

Its not quite as simple as just reading off the ACN for a particular aircraft as the ACN is variable depending on the a/c configuration i.e. weights, tyre pressures, tyre sizes etc... Listed ACN's for aircraft will be based on a particular scenario, which may or may not match the specifics of the flight. I think Transport Canada has some kind of freeware ACN calculator which may be useful, although I've never used it myself.
On the subject of PCN's its sometimes good to take into account the strength of the taxiways as these can vary significantly, especially the Russian airfields. The local agents can normally send through the PCN diagrams for the runways and taxiways.

And guys - remember, it is not so much that an ACN versus a PCN is a showstopper for aircraft performance reasons (i.e. it will sink thru the tarmac! ;-) ) this all about you not shredding the rwy to bits over a longer period of time.
We have operated into many airstrips in Russia (5 times a week) where the PCN was clearly not suitable for the aircraft type, however as we were brining in loadds of $$$ the local Russian authorities were quite happy to let us operate there.
So never let it stop you operate - just make a phone call and check! And off course don't forget to interplote the numbers as they can make a huge difference as well!
