PSA diploma

Hello all

A friend of mine is considering a career in the aviation industry (lamb to the slaughter and all that ) and she is interested in a job at the check-in desks.

There is something called a PSA diploma which is apparently backed by some major airlines including Emirates. Is this a well known course? Is it a necessary requirement or worth having?

Any advice much appreciated

Thanks in advance
