cargo or charter

If you would have a choice between a job with a cargo airline or a charter business jet company as a flight dispatcher, which would you choose? Let's not take money into account. More interested in the type of work and valuable experience.

cargo for diveristy-you go to places you would not dream of sending passengers...the human factor in planning is a lot less limitng.

down side..no good interline deals for reduced fare travel

Either/or for my money, leaning towards charter, but it all depends on the operator. Some cargo operators run the same routes all the time, so the challenge isn't so great, whereas charter by nature tends to be ad-hoc and take you to interesting places.

The challenge is not great in cargo, but the fuel surcharge will out live the boom in biz jets. The factory gate price is passed on to the consumer / receiver. Money for the staff is not better, but safer IMHO
