Farnborough on Saturday- worth a visit for a manufacturing tech?

Alright, so I'm giving serious thought to living on spaghetti for a week & hopping across to Farnborough for Saturday next. My interest, though, is in the tents. In a perfect world I'd be there in the trade show days, but I'm still outside the industry, doing another kind of manufacturing. This isn't a CV hit, but ai'd like to look at manufacturing trends in aerospace.

Would it be worth my while to make the trip, or are all the cool stands empty by Saturday?

Most of the serious trade reps should have left on Friday but there will be a few PR folk remaining that might be able to give you some info/contacts.

I would go Monday to Thursday if you possibly can.

Friday is young people's careers outreach, Saturday and Sunday are the public days with relatively little professional activity left behind.

Rather wish there was a thank you button for posts here!

Thanks all. Paycheck & flights to Heathrow have put paid to the plans anyways. Though the search did mean that I found out I was local to a composite structure manufacturer clsoeby, so not all a waste....

Sorry you can't make it.

However, if I could make a suggestion - look to visiting Helitech in October. It should cost you a lot less, and you may well get better access to more relevant companies...
