AME Re-issue.
Hi all I'm new here so forgive if i don't get this totally correct. I had my AME licence for 2 yrs ( Exp. 04/2011) and let it lapse because I could not complete the human factors crs in time. I have continued to work on SAAF Oryx this entire time. I now wish to apply for a re-issue. How do i go about this....from what i can see on the SACAA site (CA 66-02.1,CA 66-02.3 and CA 6602.9) it looks to me that I have to repeat CARS.
Is that all?
Is there anywhere i can repeat my CARS in Durban or a company that can provide some advice. I have tried phoning CAA but no joy and would prefer to talk to someone direct.

You will almost certainly have to do CARS.
I'd call them and speak to them directly to avoid speculation and confusion.
