Part 66 B3 Group Licence Application.

Has anyone applied for the 'new' Part 66 B3 light aircraft group licence yet (Commission Regulation EU1149/2001)?
There doesn't seem to be a paperwork route available as far as I can see and there's been no reply from the CAA to a colleague's query so far.

B3 licence

Before you can apply for the licence you must take the exams.
Exam places for the B3 licence exam are rare.
They are all in the process of building and getting approved their B3 exam database.
In the middle of 2012 it will be starting to be a standard exam.
The syllabus for each module and more in English, German and French is here:

Cheers

Thanks for your reply, Easaman. I should have perhaps explained myself better - I'm already a Part 66 B1.2 holder, which has mutated from an old CAA BCAR licence. I have airframe group coverage for anything under 2730kg but insufficient engine types to give me a group rating in that category, so the B3 licence would be more useful in the General Aviation field.
The ELGD seems to be out of circulation for the present so there is no definitive application procedure.

The B3 doesn't come in until July.......which probably means the CAA will sort it out in November
