A340-600 Etihad Airways

Anyone see the final on the investigation? BBC NEWS | World | Europe | France investigates Airbus crash
Not being familiar with the 340, and what was the name of this
"company" hired by the airline to do these pre buy tests?

The company were GAMCO (now ADAT) - they do all of Etihad's maintenance.
All the Engineering staff at Etihad (apart from MCC) are GAMCO staff.

Er, except for the contractors who are self employed.

The Gamco staff are all sub-contractors working for an MRO, now renamed ADAT.

Mr Mark,
I assure you that it was only Airbus or Airbus contracted people at the controls when that MESS occured. NO Abu Dhabi/GAMCO/Etihad/ADAT employees had anything to do with it.

Seems odd that Airbus could make such a mistake but, it is true.
