Apprenticeships?

Hey all I'm new to the site so not really sure what I'm doing

Basically im trying to get an apprenticeship as an aircraft engineer and i am currently sending out letter/e-mails to airlines in the hope ill get the ball rolling.

I was wondering if anyone has any useful addresses to send my CV to?

Iv got virgin atlantics address, Thomas Cook's, an e-mail address for Monarch. Iv tried to find an address for Ryanair without much look.

Any help would be great

Hi,
KLM UK at Norwich airport are starting apprenticeships again. Write to the HR dept at KLM UK Engineering, Norwich Airport, Norwich, Norfolk, NR66ER, for info.

Hi Mike

You could try Flybe at Exeter. I think they start the apps courses in Sept.

I just noticed your location, so you would be able to do your work experience on the line or in the hangar at MAN.

Good luck.

Hi Mike, wouldnt bother with the undergrad schemes Kingston/Bristol Uni's and Newcastle aviation academy are doing, you pay them too learn.

Get yourself on an apprenticeship they pay YOU too learn, make sure the scheme incorporates Part-66 Licence training, once you earn your ticket you will be much more desirable to other companies and acheive higher grades of pay if you wish to stay or move on.

Best of luck mate

Try Thomsonfly at Luton. They normally take on 6 places each year with a start in September. Nick Leale is their Training Manager, so try your CV too him.
Best of luck

Hi Mike, glad to hear you got in !

My son has just landed a 4 year apprenticeship with FR Aviation down in Bournemouth at 16. Its good to see that some companies still take time to train youngsters in the old black arts !
