You are missing details!
It depend where you are going to do your training.
If I understand you are coming in Switzerland to Pilatus hometown Stans, it is in the middle of beautiful mountains, nice town and food, everything you want but it is definitely not a big city, it is a small village and Luzern is the closest city!
You may do this course at GVA I believe, check www.air-espace.com or www.air-espace.net
Hope it helped.

Sorry sprocket, I should have specified, the training will be at Stans.
Thanks for the input, I'm sure it's a lovely place, I just am getting old and don't like to be away from home for 5 weeks. Thanks again!

ferrydude: Stans is a small town ( as airmen has said) but good places to eat etc.
The trains are good also if you need to get out and explore beyond Stans. Be prepared to use international sign langauge in some places if English is your only langauge.
