new zealand fto's

i am moving to new zealand in the near future and hold an faa cpl/ir with an instructor rating -would appreciate info on conversions and costs as well as clarification on what rules apply to gaining multi engine certification in new zealand,i have approx 500tt

Check out www.caa.govt.nz , under a side button "pilots" there is a link to foreign license holders converting to NZ.

Nothing to hard, as long as you have a current license & medical they will grant you the basic equivilent license I believe. You may have to sit the flight test / or renewal procedure for any instructor ratings etc. but check out the site. All NZ organisations refer to it so they wont say anything different.

Email me. I did PPL and had flew both islands over there. I am in Scotland too.

Should be able to give you some useful info on the flying there and the various FTO's.

Some info about the country as well.
