Perth Airport "Security" ???...
A Report in this morning's 'West' about an overnight graffiti attack at Perth International Airport - Domestic side.
Apparently the local pilots "were having a bit of a chuckle yesterday after an overnight graffiti attack on a plane at-------- Airlines ...".- end of quote.
It seems that the fence was cut into and the culprits successfully evaded airport security (?) and scrawled various 'tags' and 'Duso Hacker 07' to a certain '35 seat Dash-8 plane'.
Any elaboration guys / gals, as to whether the owners are 'chuckling' at the prospect of removing said graffiti and perhaps having to check all aircraft for other vandalism / damage / safety breaches???
And, I wonder if the 'perps' had their ASIC's......tut tut.....

Aw c'mon Griffo, they couldn't protect that end of the field because they were busy ensuring that granny's replacement hip wouldn't explode, and that baby's formula was in a less than 100ml zip-locked container, and couldn't be mixed with some other innocuous substance to make a bigger bang than the bub's bum after a feed.

If I were Maroomba I would be screaming blue bloody murder. Who pays to fix it and fopr the operational delays??
For my part if I caught the buggers the last thing I would be asking for would be an ASIC, something more like "are you with HBF".

Now I'm not one accuse anyone but has anyone done a pprune title search for this Dusa hacker 07, could be a disgruntled worker. With the security over that end I'm surprised they noticed the hole. Maybe they'll get the whole picture now rather than just looking at the obvious. That and take homer simpson off the camera duty.
I'm with you on the catching them Mr. G, back in the old days we'd teach them respect with the 2x4. These days they are carrying knives so we have to be more careful.

Shouldn't be too hard for the WA plod to find him.

You have to excuse him Mr G he's a new Australian, Choice Bro Pittsboy. Oh and Mr G lets not blame our ethnic minorities, Dusa can also apply 2 a as in duece A, but our taggers are not known for grammatical correctness, or me for that matter.
Either way it would be nice to see one of those Phalynx Anti Missile systems that target anyone with a spraycan and an inane childish identity crisis. That would do a lot for airport security and also help remove the "human" factor. We could also dial it in for any HR lawyers that are thinking of B pay scales and pay for ratings with 25 year bond gigs. Do wonders for IR as well as entertaining staff. Imagine watching them trying to go airside to the Global Express with the mini gun screaming.

Wasn't directed at you I'm just a bewildered old duffer who is actually an avid fan of Ali G and Borat. And occasionally has to ask my youngest a son to translate for me. I was brought (dragged) up in the days when ABC newsreaders were required to speak English as she was spoke and wear a Dinner Jacket and Black tie whilst reading it.

Airport breaches
Was trying to find the West article online and did a search this morning and turned this up on blog page

Dunno whether it is connected to the works in progress at the airport but there was a security guard in a hut at the gate down that end which is not normally?? manned.
WA-CEET Dunno about that, you can get close enough to appear to be standing at the end of a runway without actually being on airport land. And there are regular random patrols and if you do get caught, trust me, they wont just throw you back over the fence. It wont be Guantanamo but neither will it be the Sheraton.

This is total 100% BULL****! If some asshole stood on the end of the RWY the first thing the pilot would do is call ATC and say some asshole is on the end or the runway!!! Nothing pisses me off more than some drop kick putting in his 2 cents worth when they dont know what goes on!

In many years working domestic ramp I was only ever asked for my ASIC one time by the authoritars.
To mock the stupidity of it all, I used to wear my medicare card and sometimes my credit card over my ASIC and nobody ever commented or challenged me.
The farce of it all is that you get all but a cavity search to get on a plane as a pax or a crew, yet the ramp is almost totally ignored.
It's all about visible security to the public), and not at all about real security.
The ongoing lack of security on the ramp and the relatively small ocurrance of security issues there really does show up what a total overkill and farce the up stairs airport security is.

I had an ASIC check somewhere the other day - at the end of the flight..... phew, lucky I didnt do anything before the end - like impersonate a pilot!

FYI the RWY 21 undershoot is 400m long & yes I know your talking about the mound which is behind the security fence, but you are on airport land & btw the mound is no longer AVBL
