Yes,

Probably be balanced by the huge amount that want to come home to a LCC on less terms and conditions as DEC to crew the new international routes.

Seriously though, there are a lot of Jet Command experienced guys with a lot of younger turboprop guys in front of them in VB that should be considering a move, now that Oz aviations newest darkest hour is upon us all.

It's been said that people should vote with their feet, just remember though that the grass is just as brown on the other side of the fence.

We as a professional group are now more than ever subject to the laws of supply and demand.

Oz has always traditionally had an over supply of experienced and world recognised high quality drivers.

While our terms and conditions in a very small market are dictated by an oversupply of qualified people it is interesting to note that in the big pond there are more aircraft being manufactured than there are pilots being trained.

With the retirement of the baby boomers, an ageing demographic and an erosion of terms, conditions and the status of the aviation professional, things will change.

The seven year cycle is dead. The next couple of years will be interesting indeed.

Sorry to rain on your parade but whilst there is lots of noise, very few are leaving for the sand at present.

Patience is a virtue....
