cpl diploma or certificate to do!

i'm a little confused about the CPL diploma and certificate, normal diploma of aviation with multi engine command instrument takes 18-20 months while the CPL with multi engine command instrument certificate takes only 10-12 months.
u will save about 10000 AU$
would u go for diploma or certificate ?
NOTE: in egypt where i live, all airlines need just a certificate
i need your advice plz

In Australia, you don't need anything. Other airlines such as Cathay Pacific, so on don't require certificates, diplomas or degrees. I understand that a lot of airlines desire or require degrees in USA.

Correct me if I'm wrong but most people in Australian wanting to fly usually just go to a local flying school and learn to fly the old fashion way, get your licenses and go bush.
