Some info needed

Hello,

I needs some mobile info. I went in september to Dallas for the recurrent. Although i have a worldwide coverage with my mobile provider i was not able t get any connection. I bought recently a new nokia, 2g and blablabla. Does anybody know if in dallas, texas if this is still supported? What are the requirements overthere to have some connection?
Tx

Was the phone tri-band?

Stick35 17th Dec 2012 17:51

In the booklet i read: dual, tri and quad band, (whatever that means).

Well, which one is it? Is it dual, tri or quad?

If it's a quad band you should have no problems provided you can roam on a network there that is a partner with whoever your "normal" network.

Tell you what, tell me the model of your phone and which network you use and I'll find out what you need to know.

Well, unless those areas are on a strange frequency it should have worked. Stupid question - you had enabled roaming before you left UK?

Hi

I think i did not. (the question is not so stupid). The mobile has more secrets for me than the aircraft. :ugh:

Tx anyway for the info.

Also, if you replaced the SIM with a local provider's one you'd have needed to ensure the handset was "unlocked" in order to recognise the local SIM card.

(although this is unlikely your issue)
