I don't know anything about these bits of software, but the first few hits on Google provide

CR3 Flight Computer - Android

Aviation YAWS - TAF METAR Data - Android

M.82,

What part of the world, or worldwide ? IFR, VFR or both ?

Do you need something quality like Jepp with updates etc. for actual briefing, or will you be cross-referencing to a non-Android recognised source and just want the Android app for quick research of potential ideas ?

Something like Hilton WingX or AirWX perhaps ? Or if you're in the US, one of the FAA AeronNav digital products ?

Hi guys, thanks for yours replays.

I looking for something like Jeppview but for Android, digital charts.
I fly in South America, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Hope you find something...., thanks!

I run this on my Android phone and, using Bluestacks, on my Windows 7 Laptop.

I just had a play and it would be fair to say that it isn't brilliant for South America, but it has some stuff and you can do worse than at-least have a play with it, given that it's free.

Not an app but a website, but you could also take a look at Great Circle Mapper

If you simply want to read Jepp charts and text on your Android phone/table, you really don't need an official Jepp app. Plenty of freeware and payware PDF readers will do the job if you can get the charts in PDF format.

To do things legally, get your airline's IT or dispatch department to "print" the charts as packs from JeppView to a PDF file. That's right, you can "print" your charts so they automatically save as PDF files. Many ways to do this, CutePDF Printer is one.

Providing these charts are used by the airline employees and updated when changes occur, there is nothing illegal about this, unlike the many "cracked" Jepp installations on iPads out there.

Jeppesen Terminal charts are available on Android (Jeppesen Mobile TC):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.tc&rdot=1

for some (marketing?) reason only officially supported on Galaxy Samsung Tablets 8.9'' and 10.1'' - not sure why; my Galaxy S2 phone resolution is 1280x720, 8.9'' tablet's is 1280x800 - so it cannot be that...

I didn't try it, but obviously you need a Jeppesen subscription...

Jeppesen was supposed to be releasing this for Android this year but cannot see or find any info on this.

updates

Hello,
I've a subscription were I get very month the package (by DVD) tu update my PC. Some other pilots use to update their ipad with this package.
Do you know if I can use the same package to update my Android, or it is a new subscription?

Got told AFTER I purchased electronic Jepp charts that their app does not work with the latest android programme, Jelly Bean. Worst thing was they told me there was nothing coming in the near future to deal with this issue either.
There are basically 2 major operating systems for Tabs, Android and Apple, Jeppesen have really dropped the ball on this one.
BTW, if anyone has any ideas on how to get Jepps onto my Galaxy tab 2, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the market for a new tablet and am interested in recent tablets eg Galaxy Tab S, Note (and their sizes) that Pruners are using successfully with Jepp TC?

I am aware of the list on Google Play but Jepp TC will work on others eg my (slowish) Xoom 2.

This is information I received from Jepp's tech support less than a week ago:

--------------
As per our telephone conversation, here is some additional information about our Mobile TC app for Android:

Hardware: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1" and 8.9" tablets, as well as the Google Nexus 7. Other models and sizes may work, but have not been tested and may exhibit chart rendering problems. Phones are not supported.

Software: Honeycomb (3.X), Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) and JellyBean (4.X) operating systems

Storage: WW coverage will use approx. 700 MB of storage space.

We have tested with the following devices, which are the only ones supported at this time:

Motorola Xoom MOTMZ600
Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P7310MA
Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P7510UWGR
Samsung Galaxy Tab SGH-1987
Samsung Galaxy Tab SCH-1905
Acer Iconia Tab A500
Nexus 7 ME370T
Samsung Galaxy II GT-P5113 (Costco)

Other models may work, but have not been tested and may exhibit chart rendering problems.

Thanks Tin, that's what they still have on Google Play. It's a good product but as usual, support is pretty average.

Tinstaafl 27th Apr 2015 01:38

I went to Sun'n'Fun yesterday, with a major aim of talking to vendors about Android support for approach charts. The short answer is that it is poor.

No one except for Jepp had anything for Android, and Jepp's staff at S'n'F knew *less* than the info tech support emailed to me.

It really sucks. All I want (from Jepp, preferably, for international charts) is an electronic version of the paper documents I use now. I don't want or need georeferenced charts, or some sort of integrated flight planning software. An indexed file of .pdfs would be fine. In fact, that's what I have now on my Android, courtesy of the FAA's free access to chart info and Your source for digital(PDF, EPUB, MOBI) Approach Plates and Airport Directories..

But what I can't get is international charts. Jepp doesn't seem to give a rat's arse about that, except for a limited number of Android devices, and only if you run their integrated flight planning software. Last time I tried that, it wouldn't install because it wasn't on the list of supported devices.

You could try Rocketroute?
