X-plane revisited

Regulars here will know me as an FS2002 nut (closest I get to flying other than as pax I'm afraid). Thought it about time to have another look at X-plane (v6.7, although v7.0 currently in beta).

Well, after a very patient download (about 120mb on my 56k dial up connection!!!) I have to say it makes a refreshing change to MSFS.

Only played around on it last night for an hour or two, but love the feel of the planes, clouds and weather good, wx radar excellent, cracking audio with realistic atc, and TCAS alerts all thrown in.

Not got the scenery of MSFS (although apparantly plenty available on-line) but a good alternative to have when one fancys 'a bit of a change'

Demo limited to southern californian scenery and about 7 minutes of joystick use.
