Office 2003 re-instal
I've just spent some hours trying to help a friend who's had more than her fair share of problems. I fixed her Mercedes - a relay caused the secondary fan to run all the time and melted it - but her fine old Dell SDX Pentium has been a real time consumer.
Two 400gig drives, but I found one had been disconnected by her techie. Dunno why. Anyway, I found the dead one was far and away the best in terms of a clean XP.
However, I need to put her 2003 Office on the reformatted drive, but find dear MS now make it very hard to get an ISO. Also, I only have the key pulled from the old copy via Belarc. Used to be okay but MS encode that embedded key like something out of the NSA these days, well, with W10 they do.
Should 2003 be free from modern protection, and if so, where can I get the download. I can get the service pack (3) from MS but of course it expects to find a valid basic copy to enhance.
I'm so glad I'm not in the computer world anymore. Brain fading as the opposition becomes more subtle.

AFAIK, there are no longer any LEGITIMATE sources for an O2K3 .ISO download other than a Visual Studio Enterprise subscription (pricey, and licensed only for dev/test).
Also, running WinXP is ill-advised these days if ever intending to connect to any sort of network (or mounting questionable .ISOs).
P.S. I can appreciate the joy of working on older German autos, and shall never forget the aroma of a MkIV Jetta's cooling fan giving up the ghost whilst in bumper-to-bumper traffic in the midst of the O'Neill tunnel

You should still be able to install Office 2003 on Windows 10, providing you have the original Office key. If not then you're probably SOL . . .
I did, and it works just fine.

It's not just OSs that are out of date, unsupported and a security risk for both the users of them and others.
