I have Adobe Flash Player on my laptop and for the most part it seems to be ok, although the odd glitch depending on various websites.
It asks me to update, rather than doing it automatically and it would appear that it updates every 10 days or so! Would anyone have an idea why this would be necessary ? Are the hacking attempts against Adobe so prevalent that they need to update security patches constantly ?

If you keep getting reminders, be suspicious.
Go to the Adobe site and start the download manually be careful not to enable the McAffee option, and set updates to remind only not auto.
