The joys of a usb memory stick

In the past I've copied movie clips to dvd. After two years, I decided to read the instruction book for my Samsung tv, It has a usb socket, and can play avi Mp4 and wmv formats. Brilliant!!!! Download clips, transfer to the stick, plug it in and play.

I'm very slow keeping up to speed with technology.

Yer been doing that for a while, loads of full movies and documentaries to download on youtube now, they are a lot easier to manage when they are on a stick than watching them direct online with a smart TV.

Of course if you get your movies from iTunes then Apple put on their DRM (bless them). They have no desire for you playing the movie you have just paid good money for on anything other than their hardware!

I shoved all my movies on USB sticks and bung them in the back of the telly. Much easier than DVD and less messy operatingwise.

Oh quit the stupid, idiotic Apple bashing will you !

Its not Apple's decision. Having DRM in place is a requirement set by the content providers in the contracts that Apple signed with them.

Plus its not strictly true anyway.... there are cables available !
