PAYG credit debit
Had this sms/txt yesterday on my phone " U have subscribed to 25Seduce you video. Subscription for £3 per week until you send STOP to 65905. Help: 020 3598 1581 or at... support (at) global-awareness.co.uk"
I've had this txt before, just thought it might be spam, deleted it. Yesterday, checking the balance on my mobile my credit it had been debited by £3?????
So I phoned the above 020... number. "I've removed your number from the system" I was informed. And what about my refund I asked. After taking my address I was informed that a refund would be credited to me via Paypal or a cheque. I would be phoned in the next 24 hours about this.
I await.

They seem to have been 'at it' for at least 6 months. This site gives you a couple of addresses 'oop norf' (on page 10) you might wish to visit 'with the boys' and offer some 'education'.
It would seem they are in breach of the law, and OfCom really should do something.

the reason is how do these companies get away with it?
But of course, scum ignore that ... and so much like email spam, its then a case of adopting a reactive policy since the proactive element has evidently failed.
Much like email spam too, I suspect if you look hard enough, you'll find companies willing to accept bulk sender customers and provide them with a premium rate response number whilst turning a blind eye to what they use them for.

Update.... Had a call this morning, they are sending me a cheque for the 2x£3 debits from my PAYG phone credit. I could understand if I had one of those smart phones, picking up a nastie. My old girl just does calls and txt, cost me £9.99
Having said that, some of you may be thinking did daz ask why this money and by who was debited. I did, the nice Scottish lady said " It might have been a third party" She did not have access to the database on her system.
As a pet project, I'm going to delve more into this company. Thank you for all your replies.
