Question Domain names - recommended company?

For a small buisness that requires reliable email and an @domainname of their choice with the potential to expand the number later and also priovide space for a website...

Cost obviously and issue but looking and a reliable long standing company, anyone any good suggestions?

Thanks
Liam

I have used ukreg.com for years for my website and mail forwarding. Never had any problems and cheap enough. They can also host your site if you need it.

I can say the same for www.domainmonster.com. They registered a couple of .co.uk domains for me at a reasonable price and had no objection at all when I requested the names pointing at the servers which my ISP (www.Plus.net) uses for hosting. As I get free hosting for up to five separate names I felt that this was a bargain. Domain monster can also host if you want them to.

P.P.

Hey, I have a website now

(besides, one can't have faceless companies touted without providing a bit of professional competition!)

You mean it says more than just "coming soon" and the usual clip-art of a man doing roadworks behind a single barrier ?

Welcome to the 21st century, I'll send you a copy of HTML for Dummies

Briefly back to the context of this thread, I'm sure you'll do a much better job than UKReg !

I've used Domain Names, Email & Web Hosting, Dedicated Servers, VPS - Fasthosts - recommended to me by others, and I've been quite satisfied.

34sp works for me - domain, email, web hosting, not expensive.

I use both -

- 34SP for serious hosting: they really are excellent. I have several there, and am very happy with the service.

- Fasthosts (seems to be the same outfit as UKReg) for registering a domain with mail and web forwarded elsewhere. A few pounds a year for most TLDs.

34sp sound and look good but 5gb limit for emails will soon fill up.

Godaddy offers unlimited
