Sticky Mouse Pointer (cursor for tech types)

In normal ops - WIN XP SP3, any website, doing anything - my mouse pointer just gliiiiiides around the screen as if it were oiled. (Was oiled ? maybe). So not a mouse problem.

But the last couple of days playing MahJong, an ancient hang-over which runs on a pseudo DOS within WIN XP, the pointer is all sticky. Hangs up here, there, then rushes to catch up with where it should be. I've been playing MahJong for years and it never happened before.

Back to WIN-XP and it's smooth as silk again.

Now why would that be ?

It's run under WIN95, WIN98, WIN XP and WIN 7. And "it never happened before".

These DOS virtual machine are a bit iffy, though, always have been. Weren't you lucky that it worked for a while.
