Microsoft Office/ Windows Mail

Hello,

I have two questions and any advice is welcome:

1. I have microsoft office 2007 installed - was working fine - but all of a sudden, when I try to open a word document/file it comes up "preparing to install" - any ideas?

2. What is the easiest way to include a company logo in Windows Mail? How do you make an appropriate file to use for this?

Many thanks to all in advance.

Cheers

Did you previously have Office 2003 installed?

I had a similar problem until I uninstalled 2003

Does it actually open, after the 'preparing to instal' message? I have found that Word does this since updating AVG to '9.

Memo to self; install Avast like wot I said I would last week...

Thanks guys - no, I didn't have 2003 installed before - running vista - the AVG suggestion makes sense - will check and revert.

Thanks again

Oh dear, oh dear

Sorry, didn't work for me!

I've now uninstalled AVG, installed Avast! and still get the delay. I've Googed it, even Binged it, and haven't picked up any clues.
I think I'll tolerate the delay for now, and wait for the Chrissie present to come from my (M$ employee) son.
