Word doc in rtf mode question

Hi, I get sent a bill every month as a MS Word Document in .rtf

It is imposible to read it and work out what is meant to be where. I dont know why they dont send it as a excel, but any way, does anyone have any idears how to open it so I can see it please.

Mine open in Word (2000, WinXP) without a problem. Found this on Google. Try Wordpad if not.

You don't say what software you have - if you have word but its not opening it, try right clicking the file, then select 'open with...' and find word as the action. If it works set it as the default action.

Slighty OT, but the use of RTF vs Word or Excel formats is quite sensible as it carries no virus-prone macros or not-that-well-hidden data.

Wordpad should defo do the job (either right click on the file then "Open with...", or start Wordpad then File/Open)
If not the file is most probably corrupt.

All this assuming you have Windows, of course.
