Posted for the benefit of those who use IE and allow M$ updates (I don't do either)

Actually, the suggested workaround of disabling HTTP1.1 doesn't work universally. One website (not pprune anymore) still crashed the browser yesterday.

So it looks like M$ broke something else apart from HTTP1.1
IO540 is offline
