All went well with upgrade until!...............

I tried to restore my Outlook Express files with Nero to OE. Seems it was working but the files I need, addresses, sent items, inbox and contacts have not re-appeared.

I promise I will not upgrade again.

Ideas and help please.

I thought I was accident-prone until I 'met' you, Pop!

Is there not an 'import' facility under Files? (Don't use OE myself).

Pop,

In OE, go to File, Import, Messages.

Choose Microsoft Outlook Express 6 (unless you know you were using 4).

Then Next and select Import Mail from an OE6 store directory.

Specify the location of the .DBX files that you want to import.

It should be quite straightforward - I've done it several times myself.

Of course if the backups that you made were not of the right OE identity, then you may simply not have the files any more.

IIRC there is a "feature" in the Import feature in that you have to select the folder that has the "Mail" folder in it, rather than selecting the "Mail" folder itself?
