Wireless breakdown
Apologies if this issue has been covered before, I had a go at search but it's hard to find the right keywords!
My laptop used to detect wireless networks, but doesn't any more. (I knew for certain when I took it to an area where there definitely is one - sent it looking for networks and it drew a blank).
This seems to have coincided with my husband installing a wireless router to go with our new broadband connection. I think he used my laptop to configure it, as it's the most up-to-date puter in the house.
Any thoughts, oh brilliant brains of the puter thread?

Hi Mike,
I just got an error message while trying a few things which suggest you may well be right ... but here comes the really embarrasing bit .....
this "wireless switch" thing - are we talking about a software "switch" (something e.g. on my control panel) or a physical switch on the computer??
