Forgotton Router Password
When I set up my router a few months back I changed the password from the standard netgear default password and I diddnt write it down. I logged in several times over several weeks to configure it without forgetting the password, I have a need to change something else and when I put in the password that I think it is I get nothing apart from the dialog box to enter the password again. Is it possible to physically reset the device to enable me to change the settings if so how?

If you could post the model number of your router, there might be a procedure listed online for resetting it, however many routers I have seen can be reset by means of a small pinhole at the back, with a recessed button you can hold down for a few seconds whilst the router is unplugged.

Re: Forgotton Router Password
if it is a Netgear router, the defaults are usually
login = admin
password = password
There is a reset facility - you know, straightened paper clip etc. somewhere
Good luck :-)
