Windows Media Player

Greetings all,

My problem.....

Windows Media Player mini Player control buttons are greyed out and not functional any more, yet worked perfectly until a major crash last week.

The Crash ......

Blue screen of death,
Unable to find config sys
Toshiba help says run WinXP repair program.
XP Repair can't read disk,
CHKDISK finds and repairs corrupt partition,
XPRepair repairs XP
System works better than before BUT no active mini Player buttons.

Cost ....

AUD$150

Can any one help, please? (with the buttons not the bill)
