copa, the only airline hiring in South America?

I would often check this section and the only active discussion is about C.A, any other jobs, airlines to talk about? That's all.

There are a number of airlines starting or expanding operations in South America.

Brazil:
Avianca Brasil and Azul have been hiring recently

Argentina:
Aerolineas is hiring
Flybondi and Norwegian are to start their operations in the country and are hiring

Chile:
Jetsmart is starting operations and hiring

Peru:
Viva Peru is expanding and hiring

Good to hear, just unusual that being such a big region the only talk we hear is about copa.

Lepo 12th Aug 2017 20:21

Probably because it's the only airline that hire expats. All the other ones require that applicants have the right to live and work in their respective countries.

any info on Copa, given they hire expats? Good/bad/ usual same old same old?

I hear the salaries are a bit on the low side?

Lepo 24th Aug 2017 21:26

Nothing changed.

Salary for FO around 4,5k USD.
Around 85-95h per month with 8-10 days off.
Airline operations are organized, but human resources is a mess.
Panamanians have preference for everything

Most expats stay around 2/3 years then leave to better places.
Copa is good place to start the carreer, but not a place to have a carreer.
