Crossing Andes in Peru/Ecuador

Hi

Has anyone crossed the Andes west/eastbound in Peru and Ecuador?
I am considering to find a crossing point for my single engine piston aeroplane (taking into consideration altitude, mountain wave and performances).

Thanks for your inputs

Max

Hi MaxGAPilot,

It'll be easier to cross the Andes from Coast to the Amazon (or vice versa) in Ecuador than in Peru due to the width of the mountain range.

Are you planning on crossing VFR or IFR?

Hello,

VFR, let's say around 8,000ft max.

Do you recommend a specific routing yourself?

Thanks
