Jobs for foreigners

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with getting a pilot job as a foreigner in the Caribbeans? Working for a regional, flying air taxi or any other "first job" for a low timer. Will FAA ratings do? Is it hard to get a work permit? What kind of jobs can you get?
