I was held up by this on my way up highway 11 on Friday & passed the accident whilst the firefighters were still working on trying to save the two in the plane.
The photograph of the plane (looking SE) really does not give justice to the state of the aircraft afterwards - it looks largely plane shaped, but looking at it in a roughly NE direction, you could comfortably fit it inside the envelope of a small refridgerator.
The two have been named now through the local media, one of whom appears to have been an airport employee. Initial reports are that this happened immediately after takeoff. Given the traffic on the road on Friday and the location, it's extremely fortunate that the impact missed the highway, service road, parked planes, hangars, service buildings and nearby gas station.
