New YYC terminal results in a long walk if you are a WestJet international connecting passenger:

Last week, I was meeting a passenger arriving from Tokyo. I went to the old International Arrival area, which ironically is adjacent to WestJet's domestic gates.

Having discovered that the new terminal had been in operation since the end of October, I set off. It certainly is a long walk!

Calgary has nearly 800 km of pathways.
There’s another 290 km of on-street bikeways and cycle tracks. The Calgary Greenway is a 138 km pathway that will loop around the city with many special amenities along the way. It is scheduled for completion in 2017.

Yes, Harry. Just like they do in your eponymous airport.

Following up on evansb's post, Calgary has a system of walkways (Plus 15) through most downtown buildings, combined with overhead pedestrian bridges, which allows people to walk almost anywhere downtown, without requiring outdoor clothing. Very useful in the winter when it's -20 or colder.
