I don't think these two terms are unique to the King Air.
Max Cruise Power is the power that gives a cruise speed that is limited by either by the aircraft aerodynamic limits or the maximum continuous power the engine can deliver, which ever is the lower of the two.
Max Range Power is the power that will give the min drag speed. Usually for max range you will fly as high as practical.
Max Cruise Speed will be higher than Max Range Speed
