Re issue of licence forms
Anybody had difficulty downloading the ....re issue of a Civil Aviation Licensing Document....form?
My new ADB is taking forever to arrive and now I need to get a....90 day temporary licence....and of course the form will not download for me, keeps saying my PDF reader is out of date....crap, have tried it on a couple of other computers....same story. Tried calling TC about it but they say it is working normally.

Try right click>Save Target (Link) As... then open the file from your computer.
I just tried to load it in Firefox and got the error about needing a newer version of the pdf viewer. I saved it to my computer and then had no problems opening it with Adobe Reader XI.

Guess it depends on the office...I had my ADB back within 2 weeks of submitting it. Form worked fine from the website for me. It was a rather pleasant experience from where I sit.
In saying that, I know a couple guys who did not follow TC's advise to put the form in as soon as the 90 day window opened up or they tried to apply with a week or two to go...both have the same story. Just make sure that you ask for your temporary certificate before the expiry date - a guy I worked with had to fork out the fee because he asked for it after his license booklet expired, even though the paperwork was with TC for a new one.
Also, I've heard from the horses mouth that the priority is ATPL and CPL holders as they come in...so if you happen to hold a different license, you could be waiting. That's for PNR...maybe not all of Canada.
