Question B767-300 in YVR

There has been an all white B767-300 with US reg. sitting at YVR for a couple of months now. It was parked for the longest time on the south main terminal ramp and has now been moved to the southside. Any ideas who owns it or why it has been parked there for so long. Thanks

There are two rumors to that one. First one is that it could be HMY's and second is that it is a private one and is having some interior conversion done.

Talked to a pilot at HMY. Says its not theirs. Not sure about the other rumour, but it sure would make one heck of a nice private jet!!

Apparently it was to be a corporate a/c. Rumour is the principal concerned has run short of cash.

The a/c is brand new (in the range of 20 hours) and was for Hawaiian.

I heard another rumour today about the aircraft. It apparently belongs to the Russian billionaire who wants to buy the Canucks. He also owns Chelsea football club. Any how the word is that the company doing the conversion has been told to configure it with 30- 40 seats. Could the Canucks be in the process of changing hands and this is their new aircraft.

Anything is possible but I doubt the Canucks are for sale. They are one of the few teams in the NHL actually making money. And you don't need an a?c that size when a 727 or 737 is WAY cheaper (both in acqusition cost and operating cost)and has the range required.

Russian billionaire

Well, if that "Russian billionaire" is Mr. Khodorkovsky, that plane is going to be there a while longer!
