Tax refund for commuters in Spain

This thread is addressed to all those who commute between Uk and Spain. Every commuter I have talked to get a tax refund in Uk but dont pay tax in Spain. I have claimed mine for about 7 years. Problem now is that I am planning on buying a house in Spain in one payment , no mortgage. This is probably going to trigger an inspection from the tax office. I just want to know once and for all we are not doing anything illegal. Has anyone had official confirmation for an expert adviser or the tax office in Spain about our situation? I would rather face the situation and pay than living with the uncertainty.

Every commuter I talk to refers to article 7.p but, is it really applicable to us?
No one I talk to seems to be 100 per cent sure and prefer avoid the topic. If anyone is interested in finding out or someone has some information please let us know.
